Professional Competence of Librarians in Working with Disabled People

Abstract: On the role of librarian in the rehabilitation of people of limited physical abilities. Personal characteristics of a librarian required to work with this category of population is specified in the paper. Training program «Technologies of library work with people of limited possibilities of physical health» approved by the Kemerovo State University of Culture and Arts and the experience of implementing the program in the Kaluga region are represented.
