The National Library of Belarus as a Center for Bibliographical Activity: Current Situation

Abstract: The author presents different aspects of the current situation of the bibliographic activity of the National Library of Belarus (NLB) as the main state library and the republic information center. The article highlights the changes in the organization of bibliographic processes, the technology of the bibliographic entry formation, as well as the creation of various bibliographic and combined information products. He analyzes the peculiarities of the main bibliographic processes’ methodic and defines the perspectives of the NLB participation in the republic and international bibliographic projects and the approaches to the realized bibliographic processes’ improvement.
