| The assets of the collection |
|
The main collection consists mostly of domestic and foreign magazines with no specific profile.
The auxiliary collection allows for a quick service in providing the most asked for publications and protects the copies from the main collection from premature deterioration and loss. It is composed of the duplicates of domestic periodicals (magazines and newspapers), reference and bibliographic editions of a universal nature. The Auxiliary collection is openly accessable in the reading room .
Periodicals of recent years are also available at the Central auxiliary collection and in the specialized collections in accordance with their profiles.
Documents which are not included in the collection of current periodicals can be found in the collections of:
- military literature
- public state and regulatory publications
- Russian literature abroad
- literature on library science, bibliography and book sciences
- digital documents of remote access
- cartographic publications
- visual art publications
- literature in Oriental languages
- music publications and audio records
- Central Reference and Bibliographical Сollection
