Event report
On May 25, 2010 the Russian State Library is holding an Open Day for the 28th time. We are preparing an interesting and varied program for all of the participants. We hope that the discussion of topical issues of Library life will be useful for the libraries’ specialists from Moscow and the Moscow region.
This year, the emphasis is placed on the methodological and advisory work of the Library. The RSL specialists will talk about trends in scientific and methodological activities and share their experience in this area. As usual, the staff of the leading departments of the Library will be available to provide consultations for all the interested parties.
Guests are presented with a variety of exhibitions, central among them is the exhibition dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory. Those that wish will have the opportunity to join excursions to Pashkov House, the Book Museum and the Main Funds storage. Attendees will be able to purchase new items from the publishing company 'Pashkov Dom', the magazine editorial offices of the RSL and other publishing agencies. All participants of the event will also enjoy an interesting cultural program.
At their registration (from 10:00 to 11:00, entrance 3, floor 3, next to the conference room), guests will receive an Open Door program, which will serve as a pass to the offices of the RSL.
