The joint Internet-conference of the Russian Association of Digital Libraries, Russian State Library and the RF Ministry of Culture Main Computer Centre

On May 14, 2010 the Russian Association of Digital Libraries in conjunction with the RSL and the RF Ministry of Culture Main Computer Centre will be holding an Internet conference on 'Digital library systems for scientific, educational and popular literature'.

The conference will include two projects: Digital Library System 'Online University Library' and The Online Store of the Digital Contents 'LitRes'.

The following questions are up for discussion:

• special features of the collections and services provided;
• current range of literature;
• pricing;
• conditions for granting access to funds for organizations, universities and individuals.

Taking part in the conference are:

• Alexander Visly, General Director of the RSL;
• Viktor Fedorov, the president of the RSL;
• Igor Gruzdev, director of the Russian Association of Digital Libraries (НПЭЛБИ);
• Konstantin Kostyuk, General Director of 'Direct-Media';
• Oksana Bibarsova, Head of Public Relations of 'NeksMedia';
• Sergei Anur’ev, General Director of 'LitRes';
• Alexander Royfe, a member of the Writers’ Union of Russia and a member of the Moscow Journalists Union.

The Internet conference starts at 10:00 Moscow time. The broadcasting will be carried out on the Russian Association of Digital Libraries website. The conference video can be viewed on the website later.
